    Hello,
    I want to start taking some proper photos. I'm not sure of what really....planes, helicopters maybe some landscape type ones. A few people photos I suppose.


    I have a powershot s1 ialready but it just doesn't inspire me to go out and take photos or even to learn all the features on it.

    I'm thinking semi pro with a nice lens. My cousin has a 40D so I started looking into that and decided a used 30D would probably suit me as I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on it.

    So anyway the 30D reviews look good and I have the eyes peeled on adverts but there's not many 30D's coming up. What other cameras would be on a par with the 30D. Aren't Nikon ones good too?
