Whoever designed these must have been watching this at the same time

It's a mouse ,most probably designed to use with a laptop.
I don't think a kids helmet came into it at all.

No, but he has a point - it doesn't look particularly ergonomic...!

I think it was a joke.

If you're looking for a mouse though, check the other thread for cheap logitech MX518s and MX510s. Great mice, from what I've heard.

I was using one earlier and it's not bad ,I prefer microsofts lasermouse 6000 myself. But for €15 you can't really go wrong ,especially if you want something that you can throw around.

It's a smaller than normal mouse ,but the reciever fits inside the mouse when travelling.

Aldi had the wireless mouse and Keyboard for €20 a couple of weeks back Excellent value in my opinion.

I hope they're better than Tevion-branded set I bought a couple of years back. The battery life was terrible and the cursor kept jumping to the top right of the screen.

If it is then the difference must be marginal. Saw on in store this morning and it looked as big as any regular mouse and also looked like it was a left handed one - i.e. the curvature looked awkward to fit into a right hand.

Aye, had similar experience with a tevion one myself - really put me off wireless mice unless they had some kind of charging dock... was sick of changing batteries every other minute (although I figured it was bad because it was cheap and an expensive one would be better).

Perhaps high mAh rates NiMh rechargeables (with a standalone charger) would have worked better than alkalines if that's what you were using? Same way as such rechargeables go further than alkalines in other high drain applications such as digital cameras etc.?

I think alkalines are much better for wireless mice and keyboards. They take a lot longer to lose their charge compared to rechargables, and most of the time a key isnt being pressed or the mouse isnt being moved.

I've had a couple of duracell AAs in a similar mouse for a few months, and only now does the battery warning light flash the odd time. Thats hours of use a day, and never flicking it to 'off'.

    :DNice one!
Picked one up today. I'm happy with it so far, i've been making do with touchpad on laptop for ages cos cables kept wrecking my head. Hopefully it lasts.

The wireless Logitech set (lx 501) I bought shortly after returning the Tevion one was much better. The battery life and performance was exactly fifteen times better. :D

I'd suggest trying sites like elara.ie or dabs.ie as the quality would probably be better. Elara have the below set for €30 (and can collect from their warehouse to eliminate delivery costs).

I have the medion set and am still on the original batteries after about 7 weeks of every day use. Mind you, the keyboard is not used that ofter.
