    Lads Just Looking At An Add For An L85 ( Sa 80 ) On Mainirish Airsoft The Guy Recomends Putting A 9.4 Volt Instead Of The 8.4 Battery That Comes With The Rifle In To Improve Rate Of Fire Range Etc. Can You Do This Or Will It Feck The Rifle Up

    it will wear at a faster rate but probably not enough to be noticable., as far as i can remember you wont get a 9.6 in that unless you convert it to takew mini batteries though.,

    vtec don't know if my batteries are NICD or NIMH as they are not marked one is a small type the other is a large type does it matter what type i put in if i up the voltage:confused:

    Firstly, you said in the original post that it will up the ROF, range ect. It will up the ROF, but not the range or power.

    If its the Army version then if you lock back the bolt it will up the ROF I think(It moves when you fire simulating the Real steel). This moving bolt action wastes loads of charge.

    The type and the voltage are independant. The type is the physical size. The voltage will give you ROF. Also, the mah(Ampage) effects the amount of shots you''' get. People say you get roughly 1 shot per mah so a 1400mah gives 1400 shots.

    The issue with upgrading yours is will the battery fit. The cells are 1.2v so to get from 8.4 to 9.6 they add a cell, making it physically bigger. you need to find out if that'll fit in your aeg.
