Would really like to thank all of the individuals who supported the first Open shoot at Harbour House C R&P Club.

There was a significant number who participated from Hilltop, they all turned out in Hilltop Polos, looked very well and really showed a professional approach to the shoot. Competition was hot and heavy, re-entry ensured that the competition was shot a number of times.

In the end fun was had by all, some new shooters got a taste of competition which is all that is about.

All in all the course of fire had 8 details of 6, 48 rounds at 36 rounds per shoot, a few rounds down the range on the day.

Hill Top took all five top places, experience shows.

Catering was up to the usual standard, with no shortage of Tea and Coffee and the Chicken sandwiches were welcome after a morning of heavy competition.

For a taste of the next Club Open competition to be held at Harbour House see the attached. Thanks to Tommy and the catering crew, in particular Tommy's wife who was up early getting things organised.

Thanks to the participants, the range officers and all of the work that was done to prepare the range for the day.

Don't forget the IPSA Level II Sunday next 9th June.

    Good days shooting alright.

My (Glock 34) best round was 326/360 and I thought that was alright until we found out the winner (Sig X-Six) was 357/360.

I hadn't shot that type of competition before (Precision Pistol) but I'll be back for more.

Have to practice it aswell as the practical - On my first round I do believe I was fastest though :-)

Will be there next week for the IPSC match - then we'll see who's the daddy.

    B'Man

I'd like to say thanks to John & Tommy for running a great competition. The weather was fantastic. And the spread of food was second to none.
This was my first competition and boy did it show. I was so nervous on the firing line I nearly forgot to take the lock off of my holster. Didn't score too bad. My best was 290 out of 360. Not bad for my first competition, I was just glad that I put them all on paper. Those lads from Hilltop can really shoot! All of their scores started at 350 and 357 won the competition. At one stage the whole firing line was made up of Lads from Hilltop and when they were finished, every centre of each target was missing. It impressed the hell out of me.
I can't wait until the next shoot. Well done again to John and Tommy.;)
