Is there enough memory in 8gb iPhone? *URGENT* Please reply

So, I'm might get an old iphone when the new one is released and there is *hopefully* a price drop, if no price drop, I dunno what I'll get.

Anyway, if I get and iPhone and Unlock and JailBreak it, how much memory will be left?

The reason I'm asking this is because on my old Sony ericsson I was able to fit about 100+ songs, 5+ full music videos, 60+ games and 300+ 2mp camera pics on a 256 mb memory card. Will the memory be the same, storage wise? And home much memory on average do apps take up?

Hmm. Sorry, the title of that topic is slightly misleading. I thought it was for questions on unlocking only. Sorry for this topic anyway.

i'm sorry, but no way can I NOT ask this: are you kidding? There is no way you fit all that on a 256mb memory card! Sorry! Even a badly coded song is a mb or so... A video clip? Well depends... 300 pics... Etc etc and how would unlocking an iphone reduce or, lol, increase maybe it's memory?

anyhow, is that magic memory card for sale?

I am not kidding. There is something's I am be sure about. I had 102 songs. Because sony ericsson lists them. And some of them weren't full like 15 second funnny sounds etc. I had got around 300 pictures. That's for sure. Then again, some of the tones were the default ones saved on the Sony Ericsson phone itself. There was also a few of the games on the phone I recall. But there was not much on the phone. And I did have 57 games. Because a fella at shcool though he had more then me so I counted mine. He had only like half (give or take) the amount of games I had.

I thought it would decrease because of the apps need to keep it unlocked and Jailbroken.

If you'r wondering it was a Mermory Stick Pro Duo M2.

If you were able to get by so well with 256mb, why are you worried that 8Gb wont be enough????????

I thought the apps would take up too much space and I would only be able to fit a couple of apps on it.

That 256mb lasted my 5 months before I started deleting the songs I didn't listed to off to make room for songs I did listen to.

the apps fill 8gb? You can fit windows xp, vista and linux on 8gb, and have room for a few songs! So, don't worry. And by the way: no one refers to 15 sec ringtones as "songs"!!!!!
