Great meet. Jelimo is a class act. 1:54 with a 300m time trial at the end. But the men's 400 was the race that was most exciting. Wariner went like the clappers and took 2-3 metres out of Merritt after about 100. Merritt then did a Wariner on Wariner and nailed him on the 200-300 and coming off the bend Wariner felt something he hasn't normally felt - someone on his shoulder with 80 to go. It was then who was the stongest in the mind and Merritt wanted it more and hung on, great race. The 100/200/400 has got very exciting and its going to be a great Olympic season.

Speaking of Clyde Hart, whom you quote in your 'byline' above - I think that Wariner has made a very significant if not fatal error in changing coaches in olympic year. Could very well cost him a gold medal. Also, in addition to on-line coverage, it appears that Setanta Ireland (free to air) is covering at least the first 2 - Berlin and Oslo next Friday night.
