    Hi, I'm looking for a piece of software which when launched will scan folders and automatically decompress .zip and .rar archives.

    I haven't managed to find anything on the 'net that does this but I presume it's due to my searching skills rather than the program not existing :)

    You could write a batch file.

    I don't know of such a program offhand.

    Thx for the reply! I'm much too lazy to go about writing batch files these days :p

    For info I found a little program that does the job perfectly.

    ExtractNow is a little program (shareware) that scans a directory and its subfolders looking for .rar files and will extract all to either a specific directory or the same one that the .rar was found in.

    Very nice, simple little tool.
