    would this be the one? It seems, according to various websites, to be found mainly on yellow and red/pink flowers. Very interesting. Excellent photos by the way!

    Olympus E510 and 70-300 lens, handheld @1/800sec f5.6 (which is wide open on this lens). I would have been roughly 1 meter from the subject.

    As far as i know these have the ability to change color too :) also known as a flower spider!

    Extremely disappointed with my attempt of a Spider pic, taken in a Pub beer garden.
    Think it's called a False Widow Spider.....

    Poor farmer, can't afford a closer focusing lens...........:D

    No worries about the spider though, I probably outweigh him by a factor of 100,000...........
