3 USB modem on Vista

    Friend has a Dell Vostro 1000 running Vista Home, His 4 USB modem would not work on it untill I installed Vista Service Pack 1

    Now when I plug it in, it see the modem and i can launch the dialer application but it puts the screen resolution down to 8bit colours

    once I remove the 3g card it goes back to normal and it proper resolution

    I have re installed the latest driver from the dell website but still the same. The 3 website have no driver available for download


    anyone got any ideas?

    Did you try resetting the screen properties once the modem was plugged int?
