    Basically just starting this thread so peeps who know of zombie mods for games to post them up and give a description for each of the games and whether you think it's worth playing and if others should give them a go.

    Mod Name: Zombie Panic!
    Website: http://www.zombiepanic.org/site/index.php
    Requires: Half Life 2, Steam
    Desciption:
    Each game starts with two teams; Survivors and Zombies. Zombie's always start off with less people than survivors and the Zombies also have the 'Carrier' zombie, a zombie that has more health and has the ability to infect human survivors. Survivors start off a melee weapon and a handgun of some sort and some extra ammo (usually each round randomises what each player gets). The objective of the game or each round/map is for the humans to kill the zombie team until they have no 'lives' left or the zombies have to kill off the human team (who have no lives). If a zombie kills a survivor then the survivor becomes a zombie. Nothing is as scary as being the only survivor in a server of 30 people with 29 zombies chasing after you! Although now maps are starting to include objectives for the human survivors to complete and also on these objective maps zombies have infinite lives (so you gotta be quick and work as a team!!)

    Zombie Abilities - Normal zombies have 200 health (carrier has 250) and have the ability to regenerate. Zombies also have the 'lunge' which gives them a short burst of speed to get to their victims. Every time a zombie hits a survivor his meter to recharge lunge increases. Zombies do not fatigue from running and also have 'zombie vision' which allows them to see humans as bright red, even in dark areas. The carrier also has the ability to infect survivors where the survivor then becomes a zombie. This either allows the infected to wait until he turns and kill his team mates or he can try and kill himself. Zombies see the infected survivors as green in zombie vision and they can choose to not kill him as he can become a good ally

    Human Abilities - Humans don't have much abilities, they fatigue when they run or jump and they only have 100 health. However they do have access to weapons and can also find painkillers and medkits and even kevlar vests in the maps to help them to their advantage. There are plenty of melee weapons such as chairs, crowbars, sledgehammers, wrenches, axles and lots more but for the ranged weaponry;
    - PPK Handgun (weak and low ammo)
    - Glock 17 (better than ppk, decent ammo)
    - Glock 18 (same as 17 but slightly more ammo)
    - USP (same damage as glocks but less ammo)
    - Revolver (most powerful in the game, one shot kill in the head ;))
    - AK 47 (powerful but alot of recoil)
    - MP5 (less powerful than the AK but more stable during fire)
    - Remington Pump Action (Powerful and good for close quarters)
    - Short Shotty Pump (same damage as remington but only has 3 rounds!)
    - Grenades (high damage with a good blast radius)

    Personal Comments: Iv been playing this mod for about 6-7 months and is definetly the best zombie modifcation you can play at the moment! It's ranked No.1 in the Mod development forums. Zombies do seem to be more unbalanced compared to survivors and zombies can easily win a round if the survivors are not careful, thats why you have to use teamwork to win as a survivor! Maps are well designed and thought out and the game really feels like a zombie apocalypse as survivors desperately search for weapons and ammo while trying to work as a team to barricade areas and fight off the undead horde!

    Mod Name: Zombie Master
    Website: http://www.zombiemaster.org/
    Requires: Half Life 2, Steam
    Description:
    For this Mod, there is the team of survivors and one person becomes the 'Zombie Master'. The survivors have to complete the objectives in each map and the Zombie Master has to stop them. How does he do this? Well the Zombie Master doesn't 'play' the round but instead he views the map top-down view (like Command and Conquer) and he has resources at his disposable called 'Red Orbs'. At certain points of the map the Zombie Master can summon 4 types of zombies;
    - Shamblers (your normal looking zombie, low cost)
    - Floating Zombies (cant remember the name, but the float around and can attack you at a slighty further distance, cost more than shamblers)
    - Hulks (HUGE towering f**kers that cause alot of damage but are slow, cost more than the first two)
    - Banshees (very very fast and agile, are very annoying and a nuisance. Most expensive zombie)

    The Zombie Master can also use the orbs to set traps on the map on the unsuspecting survivors. This can range from anything to a falling object, pit-traps or to full blown tornados depending on which map you are on. Basically the Zombie Master has to prevent the survivors from completing their objectives.

    Survivors play the game as normal FPS style. They must complete the objectives throughout the map and avoid getting killed. Survivors have no abilities and have normal 100 health but obviously have access to weapons:
    - Crowbar (up close and personal!)
    - Sledgehammer (strong but slow)
    - Handgun (just your standard handgun, effective only against shamblers)
    - Mac 10 (rapid fire, decent enough for taking down most zombies but it eats ammo quickly)
    - Shotgun (Typical pump action, good for close quarters)
    - Winchester Rifle (powerful and comes with a zoom, banshees and shamblers go down with one shot to the head but the floating guys and hulks take a few more shots)

    Possibly one or two more weapons but can't remember!

    Personal Comments: I started playing this about a week before Zombie Panic! got released. It's a good mod and very addictive! It's great being the Zombie Master and watching your minions destroy the survivors. But you do have to be a good Zombie Master and not just keep spawning Banshees, try and make the round interesting! Being a survivor is fun and teamwork is required to complete the objectives but it lacks somthing compared to Zombie Panic!. Zombie Panic! focuses more on realism and patience focusing on realistic zombie outbreaks while Zombie Master is more Arcadey 'off the walls' type of game. It's still well worth a go

    I didn't really like zombie master. The objectives are ill defined and I could never figure out where I was supposed to be going. (could never find the bloody winchester)

    I'm Dl panic now and lookin forward to giving it a go.
