Need urgent advice - getting a new phone today

    Im due an upgrade so getting a new phone . Ive narrowed it down to
    • Nokia 6500 slide
    • Sony erricson w890i

    which one is better i just cant make my mind up?
    EDIT: I was told that this Nokia would be in stock soon but turns out its not anyone know when the Nokia 6500 slide is released on meteor?

    I think the Nokia 6500S is a more popular phone than the W890i. I'd go with that of the two.

    absolutely! The SE you pay for a suiggled "w" and some gimmicky features - and you get a smaller screen that's almost useless in the sun; a dubious keypad (though better than the 890's), a cr*p pc suite... Oh, well... Go on then, make up your mind! (of course the w880 won awards and has some fans who'll tell you how the 890 is even better... )

    I looked up a review of the 890 on expansys.ie and a person who got it said its terrible to stay so i did as i was going to get it.

    yeah, always good to check reviews, though you gotta make sure you read between the lines. When I bought my e61 it was a fairly new release, s60 3rd was fresh, and I saw an e61 user review(on cnet, methinks...) where someone said, "stay away... No themes, no shortcuts, no 3rd party apps blah blah"... A lot of those so-called "user" comments are from opposing brands fanboys ( I could name a certain site that calls upon its members to "get posting" every time an enemy product gets better grades somewhere...hahahaha )...or worse: from people without a clue, who bought an unfamiliar brand/o.s., and can't be ars*d to read the manual...
    But yeah, the comments in your link don't seem to outrageous...
