Norton Removal - Product Key

Hi all,
My Norton free trial has expired and I'm trying to uninstall it so I can install AVG.
Apparently I need the Norton 'product key'.
It would have been on the back of the cd if I had purchased it, and if the trial was still active I could get it by logging in to my account.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Any idea if I'll need that Product Key to uninstall or if they just want me to have it in case I'm re-installing?

You shouldn't need your key for it

they tell you to note the product key, so that if you install norton again you can continue from where you left off, handy for if you want to fix a problem with norton


but you have the right idea
