"Sammy may be the most feared short-handed pot-limit Omaha player in the world. He is so good that we only play Omaha with him in mixed-games with one or two other games added".

    OK this is ****ing bull****.

no-one who is supposedly that good at plo could be THAT bad at holdem.

Someone needs to link the 2+2 thread about the big conspiracy to keep Sammy playing by telling everyone he's the best Omaha player in the world, so they can get at his endless monies... think it's my favourite 2+2 thread ever.

I'm not saying he's not. But he's certainly not so "feared" that the top pros refuse to play PLO with him unless it's in a mixed game.

I fail to see how anyone here can comment on his abilities or lack of as plo player without having played or at least railed the guy.

Yeah this all came up in some 2p2 thread a while back.... I'd go find it if I wasn't so lazy! But supposedly he absolutely sucks at every game.

What cardshark said. The games just aren't different enough for him to suck so bad at one and be the best player in the world at enough. It's not like we're comparing Tennis to Cricket here.

He ignores basic pot odds. I hope that's not where I've gone wrong with omaha.

In all likelyhood he probably does and I agree he's the spew master of Holdem but I can't really say.

His lagtard style of play could potentially be very well adapted playing plo.

But I'll reserve my donk tag until i've actually seen him play.

You are all just jealous that a player that bad can consistently play and lose at the stakes he plays ;)

    Ignore the title smiley

    lol
    Amusing anecdote

I first played with Phil in a no-limit side game in Los Angeles in 1992. I didn’t pay attention to tournament poker back then, but I had heard that he was a cocky kid who had won a big tournament. He was playing fast and loose and showing his hands and needling people whenever he outplayed them. Well, I was pretty cocky too. Phil opened for a raise, I reraised and Phil called. After the flop, I bet, Phil raised and I reraised him all-in. He thought for a while, showed me top pair and then folded. I showed him Deuce-Three offsuit which bore no relation to the flop.

Phil stood up and said, “Nice play buddy, but that’s the stupidest thing you’ve ever done. Do you realize that giving me that kind of information is going to cost you all of your money? It’s because of players like you that I make millions of dollars a year playing poker.”

Lol, definitely not! Joe Sebok and Gavin Smith were talking about this the other week on Poker Road Radio and that Milwaukee's Best - 'the beast' to students - is vile apparently. So that's a site that at worst tolerates cheating and at best is incompetent and beer that tastes like p***, what's next? :)

Milwaukee's Best is devine. 12 cans for 4 dollars, how on earth could it be anything less?
