Doesnt need ammo, effective with proper use, various other uses

Matches/Lighters
Portable fire sources are a must! Make it a golden zippo [with a heavy supply of fluid] and yer laughin

Canned food
Naturally....

Rope
Various uses including construction of trip wires, Lasos, help with cimbing etc

A backpack!
Unfortunately we're not Lara Croft with her Mary Poppins pockets, so ye need sumwhere to store yer loot!

Antiseptic
Dont wanna survive a zombie holocaust to die from septicemia from that rusty nail ye walked into

Valuable metal & stones
Money will soon have no value, so try have things you can barter for goods [diamonds, gold, silver etc]

My List...

A Weapon
Would need to have a longer reach then a knife. I have some replica swords at home, but i'm not sure how they would hold up to repeated use. I'd settle with a common garden shovel, sharpened for head chopping glory. Either that or a scythe. Once i get to mainland Europe/America, i will get myself a gun with plenty of ammo as well, for the 'on the run' kills that i will eventually need to do. Silent pistol ftw.

Flint/Tinder
Better then a lighter/matches, as it lasts a lot longer and can be used in much worse conditions. Also doesnt get screwed when wet. Tinder can easily be replaced.

Canned food
Again, this is a necessitiy.

Rope
Good thinking, i would probably have forgotten this. Soo many uses for this.

A Backpack!
Unfortunately we're not Lara Croft with her Mary Poppins pockets, so ye need sumwhere to store yer loot. Would need to be a good, tough leather one though, to carry all the stuff you will need.

Medkit
Would want the whole medkit to be honest. And take as many as you can.

Tradeable Materials
Even Diamonds/Gold will lose their value eventually. So i'd get something that would be worth trading, such as extra medkits/flint, ammo if available

An off road bike
Would preferably have a good, sturdy bike for off road access. Would be increadibly handy to make quick getaways, and the good bikes are light enough to carry anywhere these days. Also, need alot of tire repair kits and a pump.

Most importantly...A small group of people that i trust
I wouldnt survive alone. Sleeping would become a problem, and i firmly believe that if you have a good group, that you can trust to take turns on watch etc, that you will get out of any situation alive. Plus, worst comes to worst, i can use them as bait and cycle away really fast
