Too Many Extractions

Well I got some pulled yesterday; a molar and a wisdom tooth that were beside each other. Procedure went grand to a point, I didn't stop bleeding when I was supposed to and the whole thing became totally farcical. After I had lost a lot of blood and the dentist put in the umpteenth stitch and finished using every measure short of putting my head in a vice, it did stop. I was still bleeding a bit when I got home but had a good night's sleep and the healing process seems to be steady now. This is my third extraction (fourth tooth extracted) in a 5-6 year period and judging bsy the condition of my other teeth, not the last.

My problem is that my wisdom teeth grow up crooked, poke the ****e outta my other teeth until they break, I neglect the whole process, and end up getting the wisdom teeth extracted as well as the tooth affected by its growth.

I tried to convince the dentist to refer me to a specialist or even consider advising me about the other options but it seemed the degradation process was too far gone. The dentist seemed to think I was afraid of the pain of getting them pulled or some other fear, I couldn't care about that really.
I'm just sick of losing teeth.

I'm 26 and at this rate I'll be toothless by the time I'm 30. I do take care of my teeth, brushing everyday and all the regular dental hygiene routines that are advised. All except going to the dentist until I really need to that is.

Does anyone have any experience of having exremely badly degraded teeth restored via root canals or otherwise?

I'm also wondering if I should start to seriously consider getting implants, it seems mad at my age to be considering it, but my mouth is getting emptier all the time and it really gets me down.

    Any thoughts/advice appreciated :)
