    most people will be stuck in traffic to go back home ie outside Dublin
    so best place is either

    1. Dublin
    2. M50 as everyone else will be stuck in traffic

    How I spent the bank holday last year:(technically it wasn't a bank holiday in America but the J1 visa is like a bank holiday spread over 3 months.*

    I was in NY.Just arrived on the Friday of the bank holiday weekend.Got absolutely loaded on some cheap beer,went down to he meat packing district,blagged our way into Marquee convincing the bouncer that I was Ireland's minister for finance son.There some show started"palm springs"or something simular.The lead star was having his after party,of course we decided we would steal his stash of drink.

    Convinced the bouncers in the VIP area that we were your mans cousins,my friend and I had about 5 bottles each taken and were walking back to the dancefloor when the dude flipped that we were nicking his beer.Got kicked out of the nightclub.

    Suddenly I got all moralistic and decided to tell the police officer about all the cokeheads in the club,of course when the officer asked for my ID,I gave him my real Passport and then he decided to try to arrest me.

    Mate and I legged it.I don't remember this but I started crawling through articulated trucks stopped at red lights just at the bottom of times square convinced that the cop was still follwing me.Got into the Tims Square subway station,will be familiar with the fundamentalist,s christians who have a stall as you approach the connection for the 7 line.Well, I had a big row with the seeming as they were saying the earth as only 6500 years old.(Apparently the CIA made up fossils.)Then I nicked all their signs with bible quotes on them.

    Although,dealing with your first hangover in humid NY means you get close and personal with the toilet.

    The Saturday night was actually worst.Will pot i when I have mre time.
