If I wasn't sure which way a question was done....would I still get full marks if I did the question twice, with one answer done wrong and one fully correct?

I'm doing Ordinary Level by the way.......

Yes, the examiner will mark all attempts at a question and award the best mark. So if one attempt only gets 3 marks and the other attempt gets 10 marks then you get 10 marks. The examiner is also supposed to mark answers that are crossed out. i.e. never use tippex!
