They couldn't possibly think that by pairing the popular Mickie James with John Cena, that it would rub off positively on Cena, could they? Bad move by WWE if that's the case.

Putting anyone with Mickie will make the males resent them.

The only way to get Cena over is turn him heel. Yes, it will cost the company a ton of money as the kids no longer buy his merchandise, but they'll get it back from an inevitable face-re-turn down the line.

Unless his gimmick switches to gangster pimp and he makes mickie wear very little and whips her in the ring and stuff, Cena will officially be hated by men.

And if he does do the other stuff, WWE will get in crap with their TV station and they'll resort to cena breaking up with mickie by making a gay joke about her and he'll be back to square one and hated again.

John Cena has been seen on WWE television with Mickie James a lot over the past several weeks. The decision to use the two together was based on a real-life relationship that has developed between the two. It was actually Vince McMahon's idea to use Cena and James's behind-the-scenes romance and turn it into a WWE storyline.

I thought Cena was engaged to someone else i.e. not in WWE and that Mickie was with Kenny Dystra but i guess i was wrong

Woah! :eek: I'm surprised to say the least. But I don't want this to be a simple love story. It's got the foundations for a Cena heel turn. But since Cena/ Triple H is a front runner for a summer program that won't happen. So we can expect a cheesy summer between Mickie/ Cena.:p

I think it could be the reverse and turn Mickie.

They could be together for a while, break up and Mickie could turn all obsessive like she did with the Trish feud which was great I thought. She could then align herself with someone to bring Cena down.

It would be mixed but for the people (kids and woman especially) that love Cena, they'd really buy it.

Agreed. But it will still allude that grown male demograph, whom I think Cena gets a slightly rough deal from. As a grown man, I have no beef with Cena's in-ring ability anymore. He has improved. I think it's his gimmick that has him slightly stale.

Who cares though? At this stage I don't think Cena will ever be universially loved so they just have to create story lines that people are engaged with him 1 way or another, positively or negatively which isn't exactly happening right now to it's fullest extent I don't think.

Honestly I love the idea because Mickie proved that she could play the "obsessive chick" so well. Like I said, I think the people who really like Cena would really buy into it.

And who knows? Alot of that male demographic may have met a Mickie in their life and might be able to empathize with Cena. Or maybe they'd enjoy watching him suffer! Either way, I think it might have some potential.
