Good to see an event like this on at a time of the year when nothing is usually going on. Good luck with it. If I was in the country I would play.

Thanks for the support Llyod. The timing of this definitely wasn't a coincidence! No point trying to compete in an already saturated market.

Best of luck with this. Sounds like a serious event. No doubt it will attract a big crowd. Am saving the bucks for vegas in August so won't be able to play myself. Great value though.

must say the structure and everything about this looks excellent, will be done to you guys shortly when i get settled in again.

also have you got new tournament chips yet as the current ones would be a nightmare to stack when the inevitable big stacks occur in this event. only gripe I have about the place, albeit a very small one.
Look forward to seeing you down there soon.

Not sure when last you were down Joe, but we did buy another set quite a while back. They're personalized with 'gold club casino letterkenny' on them. They're still new, so a bit slippy and a nightmare for dealers!

We'll be using these ones, but still use the old chips for regular day to day tournaments. (also helps protect the integrity of our tournaments using two sets!)

Green Joker are also giving us a set to use for the side events.

I think it might have been christmas, glad to hear it as I hated the old ones! If I'm around ill be sure to play it.

The best nights in the club are Wednesdays and Fridays. Wednesday is €25 freeze-out, bit of a crap-shoot but lots of runners. Usually 2-3 cash games after, or Fridays €100 Freeze-Out has a nice structure usually with 1 big cash game afterwards(quite deep stacks). Saturday is also good €50 Freeze-Out and probably the loosest cash game of the week. Btw are you Flipper?

Kobraki: There's always going to be room for you brother

    No I am not Flipper.
I am Kieran Walsh as well but I register for tournaments as either William or William Kieran to save confusion as Flipper is the famous one.Lol at you suggesting he has multi accounts on the poker forum or anybody from Cork for that matter.

Sorry I didn't mean to insinuate anything of the sort with multiple accounts! I just saw the name Kieran Walsh and assumed it was flipper. My apologies!

No need for an apology its a level at a lot of the Cork bitches who do multi account on boards.

    Hi Japes,

Im thinking of going to this myself, who is going up with you?

Is there a train that goes directly, I knackered driving these dayz don't worry im not looking for a lift.

    I'm a hobo from a broken home!

    Who else is going folks?

    hey.

you may need to get a lift after all. there are no trains in donegal at all believe it or not. only buses service the county.

as for who's traveling im not sure. JP would have to answer that one but i know we are expecting a good crowd for this one. I would be very surprised if we didnt clear 70 for this one anyway but it could easily be more depending on ppl travelling...not bad considering its only our first event of this size buy in, our previous 'bigger' events were 200 buy ins...

    Interestingly.....
I read in this mornings Indo , google reported that Letterkenny is 3rd in this list of searches for the word 'horny' on the internet.....Tralee tops the list for lonely

It read like this for anyone interested.

    Horny
    1. Castelbar,
    2 Drogheda
    3. Wexford
    4. Letterkenny

    Lonely
    1 Tralee
    2. Galway
    3 Sligo
    4. Waterford.

    Couldn't care less
    1 DUBLIN.

we got 35 runners for the satellite. there was 27 rebuys and 29 top ups. in total there were 9 tickets given out from the sat. (each player agreed to pay the difference to bring the original 9th place cash prize up to a full ticket)
