    Help !
I have a Hotpoint Ultima Super silent
It has lately started to trip the switch in my fusebox every time i switch it on.
It happens about 20 minutes into the cycle and I cant be sure but I think the temperature in the Dishwater seems very hot when I open it up.

I think it is less than 4 years old
Anybody had similar before or heard of this problem ?
Any idea how to fix and/or what price a good repair man would cost ?

check the hoses at the back, chances are you have a leak somewhere at the back which is causing it to trop or the float switch to activate.

    hotpoint call outs cost €99

I pulled the Dishwasher out from the wall and ran it again ,same result with it tripping the fuse box .
There does not appear to be any leaks from the machine.
Contacted Hotpoint and they are quoting me 114 for a call out including spares .
Do people think 114 to service a machine worth 400 new is value ?

Then it's more than likely an internal leak activating your float switch which you'll need someone to look at.

Hotpoint do gaurentee repairs for a year so it's up to you.

    Hey,
Am a sparks and the number of a good repair man is kevin on0863746622. His company name is a1 appliance and hes not too expensive. If its the rcd thats tripping is most likely moisture in the socket. A good test to check if its the appliance is to connect the machine to a lead and plug it into another socket on a different circuit ( upstairs socket ) hope thats useful

Used an extension cord to run it of a different socket but problem still occurs

I have arranged for a hotpoint engineer to come out on Monday

    Thanks Guys
