our cat is drooling.. not an awful lot, but he never used to. it's pretty disgusting. is it just him getting old, or is this a sign of a possible illness?

not sure how old he is, but he is at least 10... i'd say probably a bit older than 12

A friend's cat did the same a few years ago and the teeth were the problem.

Some other people might have another explanation for it.

Five cat used to drool a lot - it was her teeth and gums.

A quick trip to the vet is probably the best bit (he may possibly need some dental work).
