    They've given me 11

Based on these 3 scores of: +9, +15 and +17

Up to now I had been off 12 in a society so I can't really complain.

Looking forward to lots of proper competition golf in the coming months.

As my last handicap expired I have to do 3 more cards.

Done 2 a +6 and a +9 so hopefully get to do the last this w/end.

Do u have a clue how they evaluate the handicap etc? My problem has been getting people to play with as City West is like a ghost town in the evenings and seems similar enough at the w/ends

My club insist that the 3 cards you use must be:

    1. From your home course
    2. Signed by a GUI handicap holder

I got a couple of mates that are members elsewhere to mark/sign my cards.

My biggest problem is most of my golfing mates are in Ashbourne where I played,

City West doesn't have the club feel about it where you can just pick up people on the 1st tee so am finding it hard to get GUI handicapped players to play with

Got a m8 out for 2 rounds and hopefully another mate out this w/end but has been a mission LoL..

Did it take you long to get your handicap after you handed in your cards?

If I join a club here, can I transfer my official handicap from a club in another country?

If it's a club in the UK, then i'm almost certain you can. Just get a handicap cert from your current club and give it to your new club's handicap sec and explain the situation to him.

The golf unions in the UK and Ireland use the same CONGU handicapping system.

In that case i'm not sure. Best to check with a handicap secretary of a club you're thinking of joining first i'd say.
