    For anyone that took part in Athy last year, were transition spots pre-allocated (marked with your race number) or is it a case of first come first served ?

    I havent spotted anything in the published information pack (Ill happily be corrected if Ive missed it) but with the sort of numbers listed in the event it'll be another source of entertainment for the spectators watching the gear fly ;)

    Ive emailed the info address but appreciate that those guys must be up to their eyes this week.
    Appreciate any information.

    I'd say it's more than likely a case of first come, first served.

    There maybe some kind of special section for the elites but for those of us in "economy" I'd say that it's first come, first served!

    that'll certainly make it interesting - especially with registration of sprint participants opening 2 hours after the olympic distance. Wave 1 is due off at 10.30 - Id imagine the entire transition area should be closed by then or at least before 10.45

    I think the crew have done a great job branding and advertising the event(s) so far, was just surprised not to see a map of transition and some pointers regarding that area with the youtube clips.

    Anyhow - Im sure its all gonna work out fine

    Thanks for that chief - looks as if the intention is to do the same this year

    Just got a mail from the organising team -

    <what-they-said>
    All Allocated

    See you Saturday

    </what-they-said>

    in response to my question 'wondering if the intention is to allocated transition space or is it first come first served ?'
