Part-Time Masters & Becoming a Chartered Accountant

I am an undergraduate student studying Finance & Accounting in the United States looking to attend one of the excellent UK or Ireland taught masters programs next fall.

I will be prepared to take the USA version of the exam for Chartered Accountants next summer.

Instead of pursuing a full-time, one year masters I was considered enrolling part-time (two years) in an effort to work simultaneously towards becoming a Chartered Accountant. Has anyone attempted this?

Anyone have any experience completing a part-time masters and working in general? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
