Agencies can be very inefficient but just persevere, you'll get something if you keep going, even if it's a bit dull.

Start handing out CVs in your local area at different places and ask if they are hiring at the minute. I know some employers look highly on people who take the time to drop in personally. Just tell them what you are after, you'd never know. Good luck and hope you get something soon.

thank u both for ur replies. ye affable ur right ill just keep ringing all the agencies. see ruu, the reason i havent been dropping in cvs is cos i think its faster to get a job thru an agency, see by the time i get a job in a company id be leaving. (going away end of june)

I thought you said they all told you they're busy at this time of year?

however they all tell me that they're really busy at this time of year.

You're going to find it difficult to get an employer willing to hire you for four weeks. However if you are going to go the temping route, I recommend you drop into every temping agency in person and then follow up every day with a phone call to see have any jobs come up.

Apparently temping agencies are very quiet at the moment as companies just aren't looking for temp staff at the moment as many are trying to lower costs.

Less of the insults and more of the self sufficient legwork from you would be more beneficial.

The work and jobs forum is the place for this, so Im closing the thread.
