Just wondering if anyone had experienced massive queues or the like for the Dublin bus leaving from Cork bus station any morning this week (8am)? I'm just concerned given the fact that there is limited trains and all. TIA.

Aircoach also run a Dublin-Cork-Dublin service. 8 journeys each way per day.;)

Doesn't exactly answer the question though does it.

Bus Eireann has been dealing with higher numbers than usual on the route by putting on extra coaches to run Cork-Dublin direct in addition to the usual service bus for the intermediate towns. They have done this anyway on most weekend and other high demand departures for some time.

There were some problems on the first full day of the strike with delays as not enough cover was available particularly in Dublin for all the extra displaced passengers (for several routes) but it should not be a problem at this stage, there have been extra duties rostered and private contractors on stand-by to cater for the higher demand.

I have no idea what the situation with the Aircoach service is, if they have had a big increase in demand and if they have added extra capacity to cope or left people waiting. I would guess that by now they would have hired-in extra cover if needed but I don't have anything to do with them so cannot comment.

The OP appeared to be concerned about extra demand for Bus Eireann services from Cork. I merely pointed out that there was another operator providing a service on this route that the OP may not have been aware of.

What has that got to do with not "answering the question"?
