i have been told on a number of occasions that imported cars will be on the new vrt system but i saw this add in carzone stating otherwise can somebody please clear this up for me once and for all?

quote from a carzone add "the new emmisions tax rates will not apply to used imported vehicles, there will be no change to the current system".

If the emissions can't be proven, i.e no cert of conformity, pretty much any Jap import. they will be taxed €2,000 per year.

    which sucks

The quote in the ad 'the new emmisions tax rates will not apply to used imported vehicles, there will be no change to the current system' refers to road tax. Simple really.

    Not your ornery onager
