I'm 19 on the 3rd of October, so depending where I go (okay I wont lie my first 5 choices are in TCD), I'll be 19, just about.

I'll tun 18 the april before my Leaving, so I'll be 17 for most of 6th year.
A girl I know will be 16 doing the leaving and wont turn 17 until the 25th of August or something... She was such an idiot, she didn' do 4th year...

Ok, I was exagerating a bit when I said she was an idiot. She's in a year where there are some people who are 19 and she really stands out among them. I think it would have been good for her to do 4th year because she's also not the most mature 16 year old and she's one of these people that is actually quite bright but just doesn't do anything because she doesn't want to seem like a nerd among her friends...

I'll be 17 for half of it. One of my friends is only turning 17 at the start of november!

My friend who is repeating with me only turned 17 last October, so she won't[ even be 8 going to College after 6 years of Secondary! It's madness, she is certainly the most mature 17 year old I ever met!

Don't you have to be at least 17 entering 3rd level though.

Depends on the college. NUIG requires you be 17 by 15 January, but even after that you can apply for permission from the management.

actually im doing a PLC before college, does that count? I'll be 17 all of that year, Im 16 up untill end of July..

I started college last September and didn't turn 18 'til December.
It does kinda suck missing out on college nights out, I didn't get to go to our class party
But I know I would have hated TY so I'm still glad I didn't wait 'til I was 18
