when exactly do you check your blind spots on the test.. moving off what about the roundabout.. do you just check the blind spot on the side you are moving into or both?

Check your blind spot when moving off from the side of the road, ie when completing your manoeuvres, such as hill start, turnabout, reverse around corner(check your blind spot BEFORE starting your turn). There is no need to check over your shoulder for things such as turning left at a roundabout, doing so would take your attention off the road, which, ultimately, is the most important thing. You should check your mirrors when turning left or right etc.
