Ready to fire

Going on whatever your standard load out would be, aeg + what ever back up guns you have. How many bbs are you ready to fire? What you would normally have loaded in your gun not including spare mags.

I have only one load out (rounded off), 50 in the Thompson, 50 in the mac and 25 in the sig so at any time I'm ready to fire 125 bbs. I only have low caps.

In total I can only carry 325 bbs.

Your standard high cap would obviously help your numbers shoot up but I consider them cheating. :D

    90 in the FAL
    18 in the g19 (at least I think it's 18?)
48 in the MAC. Although it's too much hassle to carry, so that's out.

So that's 108 without reloading between a pistol and AEG.

Counting extra mags, I'd have another 270 in 3 FAL low caps and 1 550 round high cap (But that's just until I can afford more lows, honest..I really do dislike high caps too)

928 in total, over half that being one high cap.

Steyr: currently I only have 4 mid-caps (80 round afaik), although I have four 330-rnd highcaps as well.

    M15A4/SCAR-L: 8 mid-caps (90 round) - I usually carry one 330-rnd high-cap as a fall back.

    M60: 1500 rnd auto-feeding magazine.

BAR: 190 rnd high-cap magazine (only got the one)

    USP Compact: 3x21 rnd mags
    M1911: 2x 20 (??) rnd mags

So; depending on what I bring the amount I'm ready to fire before reload varies greatly.

I've not skirmished the mp7 or my walther PPK so can't comment on those.

Unless you always bring two aegs out, you'll have to pick the one that you'd normally bring out.

I reckon my macs up to skirmish standard now, one point sling and fixed mags. See'll be the biz so she will.

    Depending on loadout:
120 round midcaps in the m4
    90 round midcaps in mp5
300 round hicaps in p90 (the only exception to my no hicap rule
    2500 rounds in m249 :)
    15 rounds in psg-1
14 3 round shots in the m500 shotty

+ 18-50 rounds in pistol depending on which pistol, long 50 round mag in g18

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,314 ✭✭✭Fiach Dubh

    With my usual loadout I have;

100 or 150 round midcap loaded in my AKS74
24 round mag in my P226 GBB

Ehh, well I have a double mag for the DE UMP so that 1060rnds. Then there's the MP7, depending on which mag I insert it would be 28rnd or 100rnds. Thats a grand total of 1160rnds.....Just wait for the aug with 2000rnd electric C-MAG....Bring on the cattle(The big Cs:D) for the slaughter:p

    oh oh can i play

now i am the teams support gunner so no nasty comments about cheating but..

    m249 =box mag=2500 rounds
    modded g36c to support gun = 3 hicaps = 1400 rounds
    + c mag = 3000 rounds

    sig 226 2 mags = 40
    g18c three mags = 100 rounds

    = around 7000 rounds

    do i win?

    If I'm playing open field:

    SR25 SPR - 50
    P99 - 18

    Spare mags, SPR - 150

    Total before reloads - 68
    Total including reloads - 218

    If in CQB:
    Option 1
    MP7 - 50
    USPc - 20

    Spare mags, MP7 - 250

    Total before reloads - 70
    Total including reloads - 320

    Option 2
    Benelli M3 Super 90 (shotgun) - 10 (burst of 3)
    USPc - 20

    Spare mags, Benelli - 90

    Total before reloads - 30
    Total including reloads - 120

I use lo-caps and, in some cases, mid-caps (though not on anything I use anymore). I like reloading and I like having to make every shot count, I find no disadvantage in bringing as little ammo into a game as I do, when facing people using hi-caps and box mags.

i would prefer if only support gunners who lug 20 odd kilos of gear onto the field were to use high caps and box mags

effectivally i can strip my g36 remove the stock and put a short barrel with ris handle and have a sub sized support gun with the same range and greater fire power than the m249
which means i onl;y carry the mk1 for the suspension of disbelief factor

but as this game matures we will want to use mids instead
i'm getting an aug to use with mids for a non support loadout

280 ready to fire Just one M14 mag:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,363 ✭✭✭gerrowadat

2x470 hicaps in the g36, and 20 in the Sig. Plus another 120 in the AG36 when I get it :-)

I'm currently working on my, erm, ammo conservation techniques, since I'm shooting at shadows/leaves/nothing like a n00b for now. Also, it seems like midcaps are like gold dust these days.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,397 ✭✭✭Evolute

Currently my standard loadout is M16a4 with 450 round high cap in it
4 midcaps on standby possibly another high cap and if im able to borrow the m9 I think its 25 in one mag with another mag in the pouch

thats why im switching to star midcaps., 200rds each "BABY YEAHH"!

    :D

yesterday I had approx 1500 "ready"

I say that as I dont consider a hi-cap 500 bbs ready really, you have to wind every so often, especially on an ak mag.

I had 5 100rd mids, great, loved them, in all their orange plastic glory :D

I had two black hi-caps, 500 rounders, wound in my mag vest, but would need winding after a few bursts of fire.

I plan on getting 3 more mids maybe, to fill the vest, and get rid of the cursed hi-caps for good

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,458 ✭✭✭✭gandalf

Well my normal loadout is the M15A1 VN loaded with 1 MAG Midcap 100 Round

6 x MAG Mid Caps 100 Rounds, 1 x 400 Round High Cap as last resort backup

    1 x WE1911A with 15 Rounds and 1 spare mag.

Normally have around 1000 Rounds and a speedloader on me as well.

nope there not for the G36, its the stanag mag i got with the star scar, takes 200rds double stacked., it feeds beautifuly so im gonna pick up another load of them and do away with hicaps all together., :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,170 ✭✭✭✭ED E

I go in blasting, I dont care if they hear my mags, my guns gonna be banging away anyways.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,261 ✭✭✭Puding

dame you !!! you got my hopes up, but the star mags sounds good if they feed well i might have found a replacement for my mag mags

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,758 ✭✭✭Stercus Accidit

Get a stanag mag well converter for the g36 and get the star 200 rounders then :D

Plus you would have a unique looking aeg.

    I have a G36 and an SL-8, which are both mag-compatible with eahc other, and a P226.

    Available in total:
    4 SL-8 lo-caps (20 rnds each)
    10 mid-caps (140 rnds each)
    3 hi-caps (470 rnds each)
    226 GBB mag (25 rnds)

    However, in the field:
    4-5 mid-caps in vest
2 mags clipped together to start with which ever I enter the field with
    Sometimes 2 low-caps
0 or 1 hi-cap for emergencies, packed to prevent rattle

So that's potentially up to 1305 bbs.

I'm trying to do away with using the hi-caps at all, but I still need them for some of my bbs which have feed issues, and because they're handy in a hurry. The plan was to have .2g or .23g bbs in several of the mags, and .25g in the others, and use black bbs in the lo-caps. However, it'll take a little while before I have all the bb weights, and I'll probably end up using only .25g in all of them.

There is of course my M4 CQB, but we'll speak of it no more at this time...

Edit: I considered the STANAG magwell adaptor, because then I could fit twice as many mags into my vest, as well having compatibility with everyone else's STANAG kit. However, the loss of G36 mag clipping would outweigh that. I might still get it to try it out and see, but I'm not holding my breath, partly because of my ridiculous over-investment in G36 mags...

Those are Star mid-caps, by the way. So far, pretty good, but can be finicky thanks to the limitations of double-stacking.
