Any here using Quicksilver? It has got to be one of the most impressive, convenient and buggy applications I have ever used. It's quick, easy to use (after a brief learning curve) but crashes regularly.

I am using it on Leopard and it's great for emailing, iTunes, bookmarks etc.

How are people here finding it?

I've been using it on Wilburts recommendation since i bought my MacBook last summer and i've found it quite useful.

I only really use it for application and folder access and some of the iTunes hotkeys but for that much i love it.

I use it on Tiger and haven't encountered any bugs with it, it might have shut down once or twice in the entire time i've used it but that's it really.

The proxy items don't seem to work in Leopard. These are handy for quick access to the dictionary, application menus etc. It also seems to have some issues when defining trigger keys.

    Hasn't development on Quicksilver stopped?

The site is down but I don't think dev has stopped.

What can Quicksilver do that Spotlight can't?

I am still figuring out how to use it but people seem to love it. It has dozens of plugins, most of which I haven't even tried. So far, with it:

1 I can access and navigate the iTunes library using a few keystrokes.
2 I can send emails and attacments using three keystrokes.
3 I can go straight to my bookmarked websites by typing in a few letters
4 I can access any application using a keyboard short-cut

As for spotlight, I think Leopard's improved search features compare favourably to Quicksilver's search features.

I use it on Tiger for iTunes and as a launcher. Been using Spotlight instead for the last day or two since Quicksilver crashed and I didn't bother restarting it. I'll have to see exactly how good this Leopard Spotlight is before I decide whether or not to stick with Quicksilver.

installed it last night and am yet to be convinced, I have my applications as a stacks folder so I can open any app in two clicks.
