A list of Notifiable Actions is issued according to habitats present. As an example,

Commercial or private recreational activities liable to cause significant disturbance to birds
Construction or alteration of fences, tracks, paths, roads, embankments, car parks or access routes
    Deliberate scaring of birds.

The Wildlife Act, 1976 and the Wildlife Amendment Act, 2000 are the principal statutory provisions providing for the protection of Wildlife (both Flora and Fauna) and the control of activities which may impact adversely on the conservation of Wildlife. The Minister for the Environment, Heritage & Local Government is charged under various sections of the Act, with a large number of licensing functions which are discharged on behalf of the Minister by the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS).
