how do i get my wpa key from modem

hi im trying to get my playstation 3 to work wireless with my modem but it looking for my wpa key, im really sorry as im a totall novice when it comes to these type of things , dont ask me how i got the security on it in the first place i went to some site starting with 139.11 cant rember the rest, im sorry for being so uninformative its just that i really dont know, its a netgear wireless router and its a sientific atlanta modem , any help on this matter is really apriciated.

contact my isp thats a joke mate anytime i ring the evil ntl all they want me to do is ring a preimium rate number, there idiots and i cant stand them, i rang them before and said i need my wpa key she said what the hell is that , mmmmm see were im coming from , then when i told her it was to connect my ps3 wirelessly she got all snotty and said oh we dont support ps3 , oh really i said when you were trying to get me to upgrade from 3 to 12 mb you clearly stated that its what i need to get my ps3 online , THATS WHY I UPGRADED , oh my god i cant beleive i got myself into a state again over these incompitant fools,im sorry mate but as from my bit of a rant you can see my isp and me dont have a very good relationship, how do i reset it id be intrested in doing that.

log into your modem; 192.168.x.x or whatever the ip is via a web browser.

go to the wireless or security settings and you should find your wireless key or at least be able to change it to something you'll remember

Check the manual for the router.

Find out the ip address for the router's configuration page.

Connect a pc to the router using an ethernet cable, and access the configuration page (input the ip address into your web browser's address bar)

Check the wireless security settings from the configuration page, the wpa key should be viewable there.

Job done.

i tried that site all it kept on doing was repetedly opening up browser windows one after the other.bad

Really? My bad. I cant open the link here because im at work and its blocked but it worked for me about 4 months ago.

cheers mate id apreciate that, when i ring my isp the dreaded ntl upc all there trained customer support do is give me a premium number to ring 15 euro a phone call ,yeah right i was born yesterday.
