what about Auschwitz, not a fun event but something most people should see if they are in the area

Castle is very good, not a bad tour, also Basilica of the Virgin Mary's

The university is also worth a looks around and the Courtyard of the Collegium Maius is very nice

The old Jewish quarter with it Old Synagogue of Kazimierz is very interesting

Yep, was just about to suggest this too. I was a bit hesitant about it when I heard about it at first. Thought it would be shite. Really enjoyed it though.

For relaxing in the evenings as well Krakow has some of the best bars i have ever been in.
EDIT - Sorry missed the part you've already been there before, you already know that then :)

The mines in Wieliczka are interesting - not just the tour, but go see the museum if you have time.
You could do a day trip out to Ojcow National Park, rent some bikes and spend the day there.
The jazz clubs in Krakow are worth a visit.

You could go to the Lord of the Rings themed bar! I can't for life of me remember where it is, within walking distance of the square anyway, although most things are!

Theres an Orient Express restaraunt too where some of the inside is done up like the train carraiges (Orient Express train, not CIE!!!)

If your into football head over to see Wisla Krakow and Krakovia's stadiums.
About 40 min-1 hour walk from city centre a.f.a.i.k. (Few years ago since I was there)

Rent a bicycle and go on a cycle tour around the town

Midgard ! If you walk side the walls from the babrican, turn left and follow the block around you'll find it. My brother was a few days off 18 so was denied entry so none of us went n while we were there. I was disappointed.

2 hours by bus from Krakow but not sure if it's worth it.

You can go to Morski Oko from Zakopane. It's a beautiful lake, but besides that, Zakopane is dead.

The trek up to the lake is a nice walk though. Takes about 2 hours. And the lake is REALLY beautful.

So if you're into scenery, yeah I'd recommend hopping down from Krakow for a night, do the trek in the morning, then bus back that evening.
