    With the Bank Holiday looming I thought I might go away for a bit. Not necessarily just for the weekend but maybe for a week.

    I had a look on lastminute.ie and most the deals there are mainly resort/sun holidays. I'd be into more of a site seeing holiday rather than water sports etc. Seeing as I'd be travelling on my own I thought more of touring holiday.

    Does anyone know of good sites to get bargains on tours rather than package holidays? Or would you recommend a package holiday on your own? I've never been on one and the single supplement is a kick in the teeth

    I've only started looking but thought I'd ask here first

    Don't know how cheap the flights are but I would look at places like Slovenia, Croatia or Montenegro as good places to go that have nice weather but are not your typical sun holiday. Lots of sightseeing or activities can be done in any of these and they are cheap as chips when you are there.

    Another option would be Denmark but it is quite expensive, but the transport system is excellent so getting around the country is no problem.
