    Hi,

    I'm interested in getting a PPL(M) [Private Pilots Licence(Microlight)].

I am living in Dublin city and have checked out the NMAI website, but I couldn't find out if there are any microlight flying schools/instructors in the Dublin county/Leinster area.

What are my options for getting microlight instruction in Dublin county/Leinster? Can anyone recommend or suggest a flying school or instructor.

Is there anyone in the Leinster area who owns a microlight and would be willing a few of my questions?

None in County Dublin. closest are AbbeyShrule, Birr or Kilkenny in Ireland or go North for a Nppl(m). All have websites or try posting on the flying in ireland website. The 3 Irish clubs do 3-axis microlights though one is now in the process of offering flexwing training, I believe.

I currently train in Birr, and although its a bit of a drive for you (and me!) I can strongly recommend it. Great instructors and friendly club.

I live in Galway and own my own microlight feel free to ask any questions.

am looking to learn to fly or at least look into it.. money depending

how much could someone expect to budget to learn to fly a microlight

also what are the main differences between the two, would a microlight be cheaper to run? and could it rival distances possible in a cessna for example?

for this the nearest flight school is EINC (Newcastle, Wicklow). Was down there a while back and spoke to Mark who runs the microlight flight school, sound guy to talk to.

best advice i can give is to head down and chat to him and see what you think

off the top of my head, it works out at around €135-€150 per hour, there is a very good breakdown over at Flying In Ireland
