    last year i got about 500 and got in, but it all depends what others got, and on you LC points. Id say you'll get in with that

    Yeah but how did u do in ur L.C?
    I ain't spectin much and am decidedly "putting all my eggs in one basket"...

    Just like 2 get a bit of perspective on tha whole situation...

    i got about 350, i think the total points for the course were about 800, i cant really remember but its probably on the cao site. I had a fairly wide bearth point-wise anyway. By eggs in one basket, do you mean this is the only thing you've applied for? Just out of interest, what kind of thing did you have for your portfolio?

    Well, it was a toss up between takin a year off to work on a portfolio for IADT, or applyin for GMIT...I went for the interview anyway, not expectin much from what i had(a couple of sketches and a short film piece...shakycam style, which i had made 2 years previous, nothing special at all)..
    When i got the results i was suprised like, 552/600 i think it is...kinda reconsidering my options...
    I think it is 700 points...not 100%...
    do you know wat tha usual points is, portfolio-wise?
    before i think myself exceptionally brilliant...

    As far as i can remember the points were from the low 400's up to around the mid 500's. You'll probably be fairly high up in the group but there may be some with more, but you definitely have a very good score. Good luck in the leaving :)

    Great Job on getting 550 points. I got 390 points, and I thought I didn't do as well as I should of. I didn't really sell my portfolio (I really do hate promoting my own ****). Good luck with the leaving certificate. Luckily their are no exams for me this year, I hope to get in with my FETAC results from last year.
