    This test truck was seen in Germany just few hours ago. It appears to be a mid-size quad-cap pickup truck with a short bed.

    What do you think of it? Should VW make a truck now when gas prices are getting higher and higher and pickup sales are dropping worldwide?

    would be typical of VW, they have a tendency to come a bit late to the game.

    Having said that ...they had a pickup before, the Taro, a re-branded Hilux.

    this looks like a rival for the Mazda B2500 or the old Hilux, it's hardly in the same league as the Touareg, or even going to be aimed at the American market.

    strange that the fuel tank is on the other side too..

    I think Taro was just a concept that they showed. They never even tested it.
