It's been a while since I looked at these, from what I remember there are two caps that go on either end of the rod that goes through the centre of the detonator cap. One is on the outside which you push down to start it charging, the other is on the inside and holds the powder in place until you push the detonator.

Did you not get instructions with it?

I tried these before by the way, and frankly I found them to be completely useless.

One was used last saturday at HRTA and it was fantastic! what a bang! I was really surprised as I'd heard poor reports about them. These are version 3 i think and are alot better than earlier ones.

I think I'll will be getting some...:)

For the detonator you need to heat up some water, get the black plastic straw looking jobber, stick that on to the bar that goes through the cap, stick the cylinder that will hold your poweder on to the base of the cap, make a mark on the straw thing just below the rim of the cylinder, then stick the hose in the water to heat it up, cut the hose so that it sits just below the rim of the cylinder and allows you room to put the bottom lid, now you should have a cap that will screw on to the nade with a cylinder on the bottom of it, with a black plastic straw, attached to the plunger button type thing that goes through the lid of the cap. fill this cylinder with your biocarb powder, put your O ring around the part of the cap that you screw on to the body of the nade and you're good to go.

Sorry if this explanation isn't the clearest, it's kinda hard to describe without showing it to you.

dont forget the rubber seal that goes onto the plunger rod inside the cap .
put a drop of oil onto this it helps seal the cap .

the first couple i tried didnt work because the seal didnt close properly when the plunger was pushed and all the pressure leaked from this seal .

also dont pack the powder too tight into the cap or it wont release and then they just fizzle because the reaction is too slow ..
