Streaming Video Cameras?

    Hi all,

    I am wondering if there are any video cameras that you can connect to a computer or laptop and stream the image (or any that plug into the same slots as a webcam). Would be a very similar idea to a webcam except higher quality and easier to use on the move...

    Hoping to stream a family day to some friends overseas and I think it would be a bit wierd and difficult to try it with a webcam hooked to a laptop, but a similar idea for a video camera would be fine...Something like a TV broadcast setup without the massive camera, associated costs and the need for a staff :)
