I never play pool in Ireland, but when i went to college in Wales i took it up and played for the College Team. I became the best player in the college and i won the weekly tournament regularly! I went to play in the BUSA UK Championships and played for the Welsh College Team. I got to the quater final of the College Masters but lost easily. I'm a pretty decent pool player but i have never played since i've left college. Could anyone tell me if there are good tournaments around Ireland and what the standard is like, Cheers

the standard in Ireland is pretty good dont think waterford have an intercounty team but there is regular singles ranking tournies on it was mainly in Birr Co. Offaly but not sure if they changed it. AFAIK its off season at the min but you should get more info at www.irishpoolassociation.ie
