Saw the appointment of Sean Dorgan to Deputy Chairman of Ulster Bank today. His bio mentions various other positions he has or currently holds, except for his role as General Secretary of Fianna Fail. A glaring ommision imo. It also reminds me of the recent letter into the Irish Times on stem cell research from about a dozen academics (Reville et al) who listed out their academic positions but omitted their affiliations with religious organisations which would have considerable bearing on their stance. So what's going on? Are the media willing sheep, plain lazy, sloppy or just don't care? Any other noteworthy instances of these ommisions?
