Work Breaks

A quick question.

Just wondering what sorta breaks I should have in my job. I work in security (the quickest job I could get till college started back again).

Yesterday I worked from 9am till 8pm. I had a one hour unpaid lunch, and a paid 10 minute and 15 minute lunch. Is this correct? We also have to stay back for about ten minutes at the evening to get the customers out and lock up the doors.

You're entitled to one 15-minute unpaid break after 4.5 hours, and a 30-minute unpaid breal after 6 hours. Presumably if you work a further 4.5 hours (like you did), then you're entitled to another unpaid 15 minutes.

These are general guidelines - if you get an 45 minute break after a 6-hour work period, then that covers both requirements afaik.
