Picked up my Buckmark on Saturday (my first firearm), using club gun up to now. Took me 5 months to get between licence application and importation from Frankonia. Bought it for under €200 used, with only one mag and no case. Brought it to the range that evening but it wouldn't cycle ammo. I had to help it chamber by pushing slide in with my thumb before aiming. I was starting to think this was a complete waste of money and I should have bought new. Stripped it down and gave it a good cleaning with the aid of a printout and it performed flawlessly yesterday morning. Hopefully it will serve me well until I trade up.

    Regards

Best of luck. I used to have one of those. Really excellent gun. I used CCI Standrd velocity and never a stoppage. It did'nt like lapua.

    ;)

I dont think any .22 semi auto pistol does. It is because they are so greasy, they gum it up after 100 rounds or so.

Thanks for the words of encouragement lads, hopefully I can get the training in now and get the best out of the gun. Have to hold out on going to the range too much though, you know who gets the hump and I like my dinner.

Noticed parts are readily available if I need to replace any, maybe a set of High-Vis or Tru-Glo sights would be an improvement. Have mags ordered from States (genuine Browning, worked out at €19 each including P+P). I'll put up a photo during the weekend.

How did it work out for you trevcon? You must have given it some exercise by now :)

Working out great, no misfires or jams since I stripped and cleaned it. Only one slight issue. The slide fails to stay back the odd time when magazine is empty. Maybe I should stretch the spring the next time I strip it down.

Now I just need to get the practice in to tighten those groups(around 2 inch at the moment from 10 meters with the odd stray).

I tried to add photos, drag and drop doesn't work and it would let me attatch either. Help needed.

    Regards

Anyone use Hiviz sights? I read good reviews on them and ordered the front sight for the above gun.

On a target pistol I think that plain black rear sights are best as they don't distract from your focus on the front sight.
