Hey guys just hoping for a bit of advice.
Flying into London early Wednesday morning til Thursday evening. Landing at Gatwick and it's my first time. Just wondering what the best way to get into the city is (Staying in Hammersmith). I know there's a Gatwick express train but would a taxi be better/cheaper or are bus services a good option?

You can also get the normal train. The train from London to Brighton stops at Gatwick.. So you might save a few bucks by not getting the Express ticket, though I imagine the Bus would be a cheaper option..

I only ever went south to Brighton when I flew to Gatwick...

Worthless info, really :), sorry!!! though I would give the Gatwick Website a gander and see who's operating out off there, ie Buses, Train Companies.

    Have a good Trip...

Gatwick is quite a bit outside London - for Hammersmith, Heathrow would have been better. Bit late for that though.

Taxi to Hammersmith = financial suicide.

You can get on a standard non-express Southern rail service from Gatwick rail station to London Victoria for less than £10. From there get the District line tube to Hammersmith.

Cheers for that lads. Will do that so. Only realised yesterday when I did decent research into it that Heathrow would have been a much better option but it's my first time in London so guess I'll just have to live and learn :D

    Thanks again
