Whats the most reasonable way of flying to Tokyo?

I'm hoping to fly to Tokyo from July 18th - August 3rd, we were looking at flights from London to Toyko on a website called edreams.com until I came across this review page http://www.ciao.co.uk/Reviews/edreams_com__94091.

Has anyone any recommendations on the cheapest way of getting from Dublin to Tokyo return preferably as cheap as possible, circa e800 but I know flights won't be cheap so I'd be willing to spend up to e1000.

    Thanks

    Don't touch edreams.

At this late stage, it's going to be a little expensive no matter what

Try calling AWL Travel on 01 679 5340. They are the Irish agent for ANA and sometimes have some good fares to Japan.

Most airlines on the web seem to be coming in around a grand. You might want to try phoning around the travel agencies as sometimes they have access to seats/offers that can't be booked by the general public

    Thanks for the input guys.

Called AWL earlier, their best deal is €1050. Their website is like something from 1997 http://indigo.ie/~awldub/:D €1050 seems to be the blanket rate with BA, Air France, ebookers and clubtravel all looking for the same.

Knowing my luck I'd be stuck beside a panda on the flight over.

Try KLM, they're usually fairly cheap. Emirates too, surprisingly. They're also top quality to fly with.

    it will also be cooler.

    Not necessarily...
June and July is the rainy season in Japan...
    Then it gets hot...
It only starts to get milder in November

Off topic but why don't touch edreams, Buffybot? I used them to fly home to Dublin from Manila. Got it for 415euro!

I've heard some absolutely nightmarish stories about them from people who have had all sorts of troubles with them.

Rainy but hot. I'll give you September being on par with June heat wise, but October is certainly cooler. Either way it's going to be warmer that it would be here :) .

Hey I booked a flight over this week was 750euro all together...
Hoping you didn't get swindled yet...
Go to the KLM or Air France website and book a flight from Heatrow to Tokyo.
Should work out at about 700 cos' they have an offer on, then just book a cheap flight with Ryan Air over...
Took me about half a day of searching to come up with this so pretty sure its the cheapest out there.
    Hope thats some help.

Aer Lingus have cheap deals to LHR at the moment. . .should you book a flight leaving from there (just rememeber to allow enough time to connect).
