Other Monsters...

Now that its established that other monsters are allowed...

Maybe the other monsters should be a sub forum?

Or maybe Zombies should be a sub forum of a monsters forum?

I only say because there is such documentation on Z day but explorers such as Nerin and I have tospread it around a little.

I would say Warewolves are a bigger threat then Zombies so maybe Zombies should be a subforum of Monsters

But are generally no threat unless you damage something they hold dear, which is usually their natural habitat.

The best way is to get them to ingest explosives, guaranteed to take care of them. The main issue with them though is that they have an evolutionary life cycle.

If anything monsters should be a subforum of Zombie Survival IMHO. But ultimately it doesn't matter what I say, it would be the board members decision, so feel free to make a thread in Forums and see what they say.

I honestly don't see the point in requesting new fora when this one can cover it tbh ?

I'm perfectly happy with both being discussed here, but it was SDoom that raised the question of having subforums.

Im happy with it too, but some people wanted to not have other monsters here and I thought that it might be a happy medium.

To be fair, as a poster both here and in the DR Who forum, the daleks'd hand zombies their asses. Literally in some cases, as some zombies tend to lose bodily integrity.

I've just discovered a new creature we should be worried about, they're called Darkseekers and they're in I Am Legend, they hunt like zombies, they attack like zombies but they're quick, can climb at an alarmingly fast speeds and are vicious like animals. If i were ot choose i'd pick being attacked by a horde of zombies then a horse of Darkseekers

Ya, but they have reason and a working mind, so while they are pretty deadly (in a "i'm going to eat you" kind of way) they arent as worrying to me as a mindless horde of a million traditional zombies.

One thing I disliked about the I am Legend move is

they never went into detail about their obvious intelligence

Thats cause book to film conversions are almost never done the way they should be. They kept dropping hints at the 'intelligence' of the monsters/vampire troll things, but they never showed it.

Although, in the alternate ending, they kind of do. The head vampire guy stops attacking the glass when the vampire chick wakes up. They all then leave after an emotional (for vampires) reunion, and Neville and the other two go to and start looking for survivors.
