and now watch the police f*ck it up. nothing will come of this. they've leaked enough already to help whoever is involved build up a sound defence. same old same old.

The question was it it sh1te or is it a scandal which will send a top 8 to 15 or below at some point via suspensions.

Remind me, do recreational drug bans apply to national team service if you are, for example, a non English player who tests positive i.e. was Mutu allowed to play for Romania while banned in England. Is it FIFA/UEFA decide it or the players own national association?

"houshold name" usually equates to somehting like a Reading squad player that got 30 mins at the end of a game once.

Newsflash! Young stupid millionaires take drugs! Wait, this is news now?

Let's say 20 teams in the premiership, each with squads around 20 in size give or take.
20 x 20 = 400 players, not including fringe, reserve and youth team players.

If anybody wants to be gullible enough to believe it doesn't happen then you go right ahead, but I think it's safe to say there would have to be a culture there somewhere.

Of course there is. But when they throw in terms like "household names" i.e. footballers even your mother and granny have a vague idea who they are, as Stekelly says its ripe for exaggeration. And tbh pretty much most household name players I can think of simply seem too professional, mature and focused to get involved.

Or maybe its a name you'd find around the household, like "Daz" or "Phillips" or "Ikea"...

As far as i remember Mutus ban counted worldwide, i seem to remember him "signing" for Juventus while he was still suspended (perhaps during the January transfer window) , but couldnt play til his ban expired in July or whenever.

*edit* why didnt i just look this up?
Suspended til 18th May 2005, signed for Juve in 12th Jan 2005, made his debut on 29th of May 2005.

On topic.....I couldn't imagine anything happen about this "story", load of sensationalist bull imo.
