Could the GAA do more to jazz up their image - It seems to me that Rugby and Soccer market their product better and have a more glamerous image.

Spillane and O'Muirceartaig dont help - wheres the appeal to young urban dwellers and women ??

GAA should use their star players more to promote the games - although most of the look like they are the product of a hurried liasion at the bacck of Ceasars Palace - Monageesha or the Haybarn in Monasterevin !

Marketing is a dirty word in the GAA. They have a product to market and think a a few radio adds is enough. They then start wondering why only 21,000 turned up last week for a double bill.

Depends what you mean. Extra-time multi-ball system?

Since when has sport been about glamour?

Whatever about Spillane, O'Muircheartaigh is a national institution and an absolute hero.

So you want the more attractive GAA players to sell the sport?

    What a bizarre rant.

As regards yesterdays double bill yes 3,000 is a joke again poor marketing. When you consider Laois v Offaly would be a local darby. A very Poor turnout.

The Dublin v Wexford hurling semi is fixed for saturday 14th June at 7pm. Again an awful time for a game and many people will be put off by the time. if you are reliant on public transport you will have to stay over night as there are no services back to dublin after 7pm but i intend going to this game just have to find a B&B :)
