    Hi All

    just looking for some advice - looking at going for a week or so to Italy - up by the lakes etc

    just wondering has anyone done it? worth the trip? cheap/expensive etc

    sorry i know i am being vague but just there is 4 of us thinking of just getting away for a few days and thought it would be nice

    Lake Garda? Expensive, but totally worth it. But you could just make day trips there. George Clooney has a house there if that helps :pac:

    yummy George - i know! faith that would be worth the trip alone! where would you base your self if you are going to just do day trips?
    prefer not to have to drive as its more than likely going to be sitting down, relaxing having beers at various intervals throughout the day :)

    I'd say stay in Peschiera.It's on Lake Garda but there's a train station there. So you can get to Venice,Milan and Verona with ease. And wherever else you want to go.

    not too pushed bout going to Milan really - want to get away from the cities - maybe venice or something! :) im all about the relaxing :)

    Venice is lovely and you can wander round in the alleys for hours.
